The Marketing Secret: Escalation vs. Innovation

What is the difference between escalation and innovation when it comes to marketing your MSP?

Knowing the difference could be the answer to many of your growth problems.

When you choose to follow the status quo, you’re willingly agreeing to play by a certain set of rules. This is true in life and in marketing. The problem is that the marketing status quo gives you a terrible set of rules that will have you banging your head against the wall in frustration.

First and foremost, if you want to “win” in marketing while playing by the common rule set, you should plan on spending a lot of money. Why? Because most of the “experts” in the channel are telling you to market through content creation: blogs, social media posts, emails, and videos (if you have the time and money for it).

And guess what? That’s the same game that thousands of other MSPs are playing. Which means that the only way you’re going to win using those rules is to do more of it. More videos. More blog posts. That means spending more time and more money than all of your competitors. There’s no other way around it.

But what if there was a way to “win” at marketing without simply pouring money into it? A smarter way?
